Veðurstofa Íslands (The Icelandic Meteorological Office) has announced that winter will at last come to Iceland. There has been no snow so far, but all that's about to change as massive snowstorms are set to reach our shores. Temperatures in the central highlands are set to plummet to as low as –19°C with blizzards. It could even be as cold as –6°C in the capital city. Our school group from the UK still tried to build a snowman. Snow is forecast for the whole country, so drive carefully and keep an eye on the roads here:
