In December, we have as little as two hours of daylight. In June, it is light throughout the night. But today we can feel normal. It's the spring equinox, which means twelve hours of day and twelve hours of night. Sunrise and sunset are both inked in at half past seven. Just like everybody else, everywhere else in the world. Everything is equal today. We have a global symmetry. That's a reassuring thought in troubled times.
